One of the primary goals of Spirit Path is to create awareness of the deep connection between the mind, body and spirit. Our programs create an environment for developing this awareness and provide tools and practices to help establish this connection. Developing ongoing awareness enables one to create new habits and pathways for creating a healthier, more productive and joy-filled life.
Judith Merrill
Judith is both a Certified Yoga Instructor and Registered Massage Therapist. Her passion for yoga has been sustained by her 30 years of practice. Her inspiration for teaching comes from this deepening practice.
She is currently offering classes and training in Kundalini and Ten Body Yoga, widely considered one of the most comprehensive and enriching forms of yoga. It is very fast and effective in producing life enhancing changes as it brings a person into alignment with the truth of who they are.
Judith received her teachers certification in Kundalini and Ten Body Yoga from the School of Natural Medicine and Yoga Therapy in Toronto and is currently the only Kundalini instructor on Prince Edward Island.
She has also been teaching Hatha Yoga for more than 14 years, focusing on the deeper inner aspects of yoga, as well as outer strength and flexibility. Both varieties of yoga are suitable for novices and more experienced individuals. Classes are arranged for each specific experience level.
Judith has been working as a registered massage therapist for the past 14 years. As a massage therapist, she has developed her intuition, which allows her to follow the innate wisdom of the body. Respecting and following this natural wisdom allows her to release blocks that create chronic tension and ill health.
Joan McDonald
Bioenergetics is a body-mind approach to psychological, physical and emotional health and well-being. Bioenergetic exercise classes are an adventure in self-discovery. Bioenergetic exercises offer a holistic approach to the relief of stress and chronic tension resulting in increased life energy and capacity to be emotionally present and naturally more expressive.
Exercise classes are led by Joan McDonald, RSW. Joan is registered social worker and an experienced counselor. She will be graduating in the fall of 2008 from a five year professional training program in Bioenergetic Analysis and is a member of Atlantic Canada Society for Bioenergetic Analysis.
